Items available for pre-order will be dispatched as soon as stock arrives. The estimated arrival date is shown on the product page. 

We always aim to meet these dates, but occasional delays can happen due to unforeseen shipping or supplier issues.

You’re free to cancel your pre-order anytime before dispatch if you change your mind.

We’re committed to providing high-quality products, but we understand you may need to return or exchange something. Please check items carefully before opening, using, or installing them.

Should you need to return your product for any reason, you must provide proof of purchase such as your order ID or purchase receipt. 

If your item has arrived with items missing, damaged or broken, please contact us immediately via our contact form and do not use your product as this will invalidate your warranty. This means we will not be able to issue you with a refund, replacement or repair.

What is covered and for how long? 

• Manufacturing faults affecting electronic components - such as motors, ESCs, receivers, transmitters, and chargers - are covered under warranty.
• However, warranty periods vary depending on the brand and manufacturer. While some brands offer up to 12 months' cover, others provide a shorter warranty period.
• Please refer to the specific product page or contact our support team to confirm the exact warranty duration for your item.
• Most batteries are covered for 6 months. 

What isn't covered? 

• Water damage
• Impact/crash damage of any kind
• User damage through carelessness and poor maintenance 
• Non electronic parts such as drive shafts, gearing, tyres, body shells etc.
• Accessories (charge cables, stickers, storage bags etc.)

When does the warranty start? 

The warranty automatically begins as soon as the item is delivered.

If I return a product for a warranty repair, does the warranty restart when I get the product back? 

No. Sadly it does not. 

How to claim on the warranty? 

If you need to report a fault with your product, please drop us an email via our contact us form here.  Please included a full description of the problem and any pictures or videos that will help demonstrate this. A member of our team will be happy to help and advise on the best course of resolution.

The RCG Racing Wind Speed and Storm Rider are two of our most popular models to date.
 
Great for kids age 8+, they are an excellent entrance model into remote control car hobby.

 As with all remote control cars, it's inevitable that parts will be damaged and need replacing from time to time and these models are sadly no exception. 

However, they are thankfully designed to be completely taken apart and put back together again. Our engineer has put together an in depth, step by step guide on how to repair these.

Please note: These steps are to be taken as a guide only. RC Geeks can not accept responsibility for damage done to the vehicle or parts.

How do I prevent battery damage?

To avoid damaging the battery, never fully discharge it and always disconnect it from the RC car when not in use. Leaving it connected can slowly drain the battery below safe levels.

What does mAh mean?
It stands for milliamp-hours – the battery’s capacity. The higher the mAh, the longer the run time.

What affects run time?
Run time depends on terrain, driving style, and conditions.
Example:

• Flat tarmac = ~35 mins

• Off-road = ~20–25 mins
  This is normal and doesn’t mean the battery is faulty.

What does battery voltage mean?
Voltage = power. Higher voltage means faster performance. Always check your model’s voltage compatibility before buying.

What settings do I use to charge?
Use a smart charger and follow these rules:

1. Select battery type (LiPo, NiMH, etc.)

2. Set the correct voltage (don’t exceed it)

3. Set the amp rate to match the battery’s mAh (e.g. 5000mAh = 5A max)

How long does charging take?
Divide battery mAh by charger amps:

• 5000mAh ÷ 5A = 1 hour

• 5000mAh ÷ 3A = 1.67 hours
  Never charge above your battery’s rated capacity.

Why isn’t my battery lasting long?
This varies with use. Rough terrain, cold temps, or aggressive driving all reduce run time. Two identical batteries may perform differently — this is normal.

What’s the battery warranty?
All batteries include a 6-month manufacturer’s warranty (covers defects only). Misuse or improper storage voids the warranty.

Yes you can! 

With mostly all of our hobby grade rc models, you will be able to run more than one at a time without needing to worry about interference and changing the frequency.

You can also run more than one RCG Racing Wind Speed and Storm Rider at the same time without interfering with each other. 

There are only a few exceptions when it comes to our models, where you cannot run more than one sadly. Please check each product page for details.
